1,2 billion euro for la French Tech
On June 4th, Ministers Bruno Le Maire and Cedric O have announced new instrumental measures for the La French Tech industry:
1️⃣ For startups strenghthening the country’s technological autonomy: a new fund “French Tech Sovereignty”, starting off at 150M€ in 2020 and going as high as 500M€ by 2025.
2️⃣ For startups who need to extend their runway: a top up of 500M€ to the initial 4B€ startup relief package, including a reload of the fund “French Tech Bridge.”
3️⃣ For the new generation of startups (esp. in deeptech): 200M€ in various funding early-stage government programs, including French Tech Acceleration, our fund for accelerators, incubators and startup studios.
4️⃣ A commitment to both strengthening and diversifying the startup talent pool. In the works this July: a platform for young graduates exploring careers in tech, a national awareness campaign and 1M€ in grants for grassroots projects by French Tech Communities.
5️⃣A historical government initiative to crowdsource legislative and regulatory hurdles slowing down France’s tech adoption.
